The Agreement
BracketBoard ("we", "us", "our") is tournament bracket software at bracketboard.app. These terms are an agreement between you and us. By using BracketBoard, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Anyone can view a public bracket without one.
Accounts
Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Directors create and run events. Workers a director invites record results for the mats or courts they are assigned. Spectators don't need an account.
Payments
- You pay once per event, when you make it live, at the price shown before you pay. See Pricing for current prices. There are no subscriptions.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Once an event is paid, its brackets and teams are set: you can't add or remove them, or make a bracket bigger.
Refunds
- If no match results have been entered, including when you cancel the event, we'll give you a full refund if you ask within 30 days of paying.
- Once results have been entered, the payment can't be refunded.
- If we charged you by mistake (twice, or the wrong amount), we'll always refund the mistake.
To ask for a refund, contact us with the event's name. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can usually sort it out faster.
What You Enter
- You may only enter names and details you have the right to post. For anyone under 18, that means you have permission from their school, club, or parent.
- You are responsible for the events, names, and results you enter, and for checking that your brackets are right.
- If someone makes a claim against us because of what you entered, for example a name you didn't have permission to post, you agree to cover our resulting costs.
- Once an event is live, anyone with its link can see it, including names and results. Listed events also appear in our tournament directory. Classroom events are never listed, but their link still works for anyone who has it.
- We may remove content, or suspend an account, that breaks these terms or misuses the site.

Ownership
BracketBoard's software, design, and name belong to us. Using the site doesn't give you any right to copy them. Your event data is yours; you let us store it and show it on your event's pages so the service can work.
No Warranty and Limit of Liability
BracketBoard is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and correct, but we don't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or right for your event. Check your brackets and results before you rely on them, and print your brackets before your event so you have a paper copy if the site or your internet goes down.
We rely on outside services for hosting, data, email, and payments. We aren't responsible for problems caused by those services, or by your own internet connection.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use BracketBoard after a change means you accept it.
