Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about BracketBoard

General

How much does it cost?
Your first tournament is completely free — no credit card required. After that, it's $1 per bracket (weight class). One-time payment per tournament, no subscriptions.
Can I set everything up before paying?
Yes. Create your tournament, add all your divisions, enter participants, and generate brackets — all for free. You only pay when you're ready to activate and go live.
Do spectators need an account?
Never. Public bracket pages are free, no login, no app download, and no subscription. Just share the link or let them scan the QR code on your printed brackets.
How do parents see live results?
Share the public tournament link or print brackets with the built-in QR code. Parents scan it with their phone camera and see live results — brackets update automatically as you record scores.
What sports are supported?
Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Karate, and Taekwondo. Each sport has tailored weight class presets. We support single and double elimination brackets with up to 256 participants per division.
Can I run a multi-day tournament?
Yes. When creating a tournament you can set both a start and end date. The public page will display the full date range.
Can I import participants from a spreadsheet?
Yes. You can paste names directly or upload a CSV file. The bulk entry tool handles both individual entry and batch imports.
Can I edit brackets after going live?
Yes. You can record results, edit scores, and manage participants while your tournament is active. Once you mark the tournament as complete, editing is locked — but you can reopen it if needed.
What if I need to disqualify or mark an athlete as injured?
Each participant can be flagged as disqualified (DQ) or injured directly from the bracket management page. Their matches will show the appropriate badge.
How do I get help or report an issue?
Use the Contact page to send us a message. We read every one and respond as quickly as we can.
